Please RSVP by Monday October 28th. Location: https://g.co/kgs/rnvWdSJ When Vicky and her parents, owners of PSV Cuisine in Waterloo, started their Lao restaurant in 2017, they opted for a mostly Thai menu with only 5 Lao dishes. Today, PSV Cuisine is one of the few restaurants in London serving truly unapologetic Lao food. On Wednesday October 30th, we’re heading to PSV Cuisine for a proper Lao feast! Vicky and her parents have organised a special menu for this evening including Laab Ped (minced duck salad), Goong Sae Naam Pa (raw prawns in spicy fish sauce), Tum Lao Padaek (papaya salad with fermented fish sauce), Sai Oua (minced pork sausage), Naem Kao (crispy rice salad) along with a surprise dish by Vicky’s mom 😉 🔥 PRICE: £50/person (includes all food, VAT, and service. Drinks available to purchase seperately on the day of). MENU: SAI OUA: Lao minced pork sausage, made in house served with jeow mak len (Lao spicy tomato dip) and Kao Niew (sticky rice) KAO-POON: Rice vermicelli noodle salad topped with prawns, stir-fried garlic and onions in curry powder, cucumber slices, herbs, vegetables, and sweet and sour chili sauce and ground peanuts. TUM LAO: Papaya salad hot and sour with garlic, lime juice, tomatoes, tamarind sauce, and ‘padeak’ (fermented fish sauce). GOONG SAE NAAM PA: Fresh (raw) prawns soaked in a spicy fish sauce infused with fresh chillies, garlic, lemon juice and coriander. PUN PA: Grilled sea bream fish wraps with fresh greens, rice noodles and home-made sweet chilli pineapple sauce that is topped with crushed peanuts. NAEM KAO: Made with cooked rice that is seasoned and then deep fried giving you that crunch. It is then broken up and then tossed together with coriander, spring onions, desiccated coconut, egg, garlic and ‘som moo’ fermented sour pork. TUP VARN: Sliced beef liver, tossed with ground roasted rice, red onion, mint, coriander, spring onions and flavoured with fish sauce, chillies and lemon juice. LAAB PED: ‘Ped’ meaning duck minced and cooked with garlic, liver and gizzards. This is all mixed together with fresh herbs, red onions, Lao grounded roasted rice, spiced with chilli powder and flavoured with lemon juice and fish sauce.
