ABOUT THE EVENT:
We follow a simple equation: Spotlit Songwriters + Loving, Engaged Audience Chorus + Wildly Talented Backing Band = MAGICAL MUSICAL JOURNEY
Songwriters bring us the tender fruits of their labor: songs! YOU, the amazing audience choir, will learn a bit of the song and sing along, guided by the inimitable spirited Milly. Nate directs the house band — a maximally supportive cohort of improvising instrumentalists — shaping the magic every half step and whole step of the way.
We are very excited to bring this magic to our favorite community venue, The Lilypad in Cambridge. This will be the 7th iteration of The Songbuilder's Soirée - previously hosted in living rooms and backyards - let's see where we can take the spirit of the Soirée with a bigger sound and louder love.
The Soirée celebrates music, community, and the spirit of play in a unique and majestic way. Come for the fun, appreciate the artistry, stay for the community.
