Welcome strange eYe Entre the sound window and be vocally bathed... Recreated acapella by a small group of vocalists, be bathed in the reverberated lush hum of the human voice and hear the music of Ж in a style you have never heard. Hear also baroque vocal works from famous composers including Cum Dederit by Vivaldi and a catholic chant sung in old slavonic. Performed by professional vocalists in a highly unusual setting, we aim to create an unforgettable sonance. Inspired by "Singing in Tunnels with Strangers & Sisters", an album created from recordings of improvised group singing in echoing places in San Francisco, hear new compositions and old. This event is about sound. The venue in near pitch darkness, under lowlight, allow your senses to become diminished, all except your ears, and flood your body in liquid voca shade. . . . More about the vocalists Kayla Rae A classically trained singer and audiomancer with a deep, intuitive understanding of vibrational medicine, her sonic journeys are a mystical experience, where each vibration stirs deeper awareness and expanded presence. She can often be found co-facilitating sound baths in the Bay Area, and performing in professional vocal ensembles across the country. Marissa Joy Clark A multi-modal artist with experience as a classically trained soprano, fusion belly dancer, photographer, writer, and art model. Her creative praxis explores the interplay of voice, storytelling, movement, and visual imagery, inviting audiences into intimate moments of resonance and reflection. She also ardently champions new music works and the Bay Area underground arts scene. Ж or Xxhe An ice composer, vocalist, dancer, performer, and experimental opera borner with a few classical baroque vocal pieces up their sleeve. Known for writing an arctic opera at the age of seventeen using the sounds of ice, the tundra, and orchestral instruments, Ж styled a new genre and continues to invent new ways to write music. All attendees must meet here. Find the location on the partiful and below: 75 Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr San Francisco, CA 94118 United States -Meet at the meeting point at 6:30pm and we will head over to the tunnel at 6:45pm. -Music will go until 8:30. In order to preserve the intimate atmosphere for the show, no late entries will be possible. -Please wear warm clothing as this event takes place outdoors. -We will be collecting for the show in a tunnel in Golden Gate Park. -Prepare for this like you would a sound bath or a sound meditation and bring items to keep you comfortable sitting, standing or lying on the ground. -This may include a sleeping bag, sleeping pad, beach towel, pillow, and any extra clothing layers you need to remain warm while experiencing the music. -We will have carpets on the ground of the tunnel.
