Book Club: Parable of the Talents
Octavia Butler's work describes so much of our philosophy here at Azadi, we thought it would be great to have a book club that came together and discussed her writing, particularly the Parable of the Sower and the Parable of the Talents. Come by next month to have some herbal teas, talk about the book and Butler's work, and the future of Black people in our current climate crisis.
Call and Response is also a local, South Side, Black-owned bookstore so please buy the book from them! Or you can pick it up at your local library. Anything but Amazon and huge corporations.
