✨ Because, Roots ✨ April 23, 2025 | 7:00 PM Gallery Particulier — 281 Maple Street, Flatbush, Brooklyn The Collective Tales storytelling series Because, Roots is part of our ongoing Collective Tales series—a night where we gather to share the stories that ground us. ✨ Expect good vibes, meaningful moments, and a celebration of the threads that tie us together.🌱 We'll have a storyteller share their project documenting the kind of music native New Yorkers listen to in our city. And another one will talk about her work with undocumented migrants. In this ever-changing city, each of us carries roots—whether planted here in Brooklyn or reaching across oceans and generations. Through those roots, we connect to place, to culture, and to one another. Join us for an evening of storytelling, connection, and reflection. Come share where you're from, what keeps you grounded, or simply listen and hold space for others. Everyone has a story—what’s yours? Hosted by Comrade Cav, a beloved voice in Brooklyn’s creative scene, the night will be filled with warmth, laughter, and insight. And true to Collective Tales tradition, you’ll get a chance to join the conversation with a fun, interactive moment to share your own take on roots — whether it’s a memory, a feeling, or something that makes your heart skip a beat. It’s more than storytelling — it’s a celebration of creativity, connection, and imagination. Bring your friends, bring your stories, and let’s make it beautiful together. $5-$10 suggested contribution
