APPRECIATION, RESPECT & CREDIT WHERE IT IS DUE. Recognize and respect all forms of work, including stripper/skripper and sex work. We would not be here without them paving the way for us. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & CREDIT WHERE IT IS DUE. This topic is likewise sensitive and can be discussed with Ohana Studios and Circus Church directly if you have any questions. We have adopted a baseline policy that original artistic works or any original works produced by an individual or group of individuals should be credited to them. It's respectful to give the originator credit for their work by citing, tagging, mentioning, or securing their consent when their content is used or shared in any capacity. It's not acceptable to use someone else's content for profit or otherwise without their express consent to the terms of use. Simply put, do not purport to be the originator or creator of someone else's artistic content, choreography, content, instructional materials, written content, etc. without the owner's permission and consent to the terms of use. MUTUAL RESPECT FOR SELF-EXPRESSION. Genuine self-expression arises from each of our unique gifts. No one other than the individual or a collaborating group can determine its content. It is offered as a gift to others. In this spirit, the givers and the recipients should respect each others' rights and liberties. COOPERATION & COLLABORATION. Our community values creative cooperation and collaboration. We strive to produce, promote and protect social networks, public spaces, works of art, and methods of communication that support artistic and social interaction. We respect that everyone is unique with their own backgrounds, cultures, intentions, paths, goals, attire, appearances, abilities, injuries, conditions and dispositions. During events, facilitators may discuss intimate topics, bodies, choices, movements, etc. with the intention of understanding ways to apply techniques, practice safety, execute movements. Hosts will also facilitate these activities with community participation for educational, entertainment, enjoyment, and safety purposes. Unless there is a clear relevance to event materials, approach these topics with sensitivity and lightness. Hold a gentle, comfortable space where others' overall agencies are not challenged, confronted or questioned. Respectfully refrain from topics that may make someone uncomfortable about who they are in that moment, especially in this space where we are already vulnerable. ALOHA. Embody aloha. Be kind.
