“The Mt. Apo coffees from Wide Awake have been some of the most impressive Southeast Asian grown coffees I’ve tried. Wide Awake works directly with farmers to give guidance on different growing techniques. I find them strikingly clean for being Southeast Asian grown. I’m excited to compare the two processes from this producer! (one cleaner and one a bit more funk forward)”
“This is a great Viet coffee. “Wide Awake has done direct sourcing with them for a while. They told me this was their favorite of the coffees from them. It has a strong intensity of flavor and lots of sweetness.”
“Liberica is super unique. It’s a different coffee species that you don’t see as often. I have only come across a few of them. One half is a Malaysian roaster and has good connections with this producer, one of the only specialty producers in Malaysia. The first Kancil Liberica is one of their “more standard” offerings. The “Dark Room Dry” is incredibly rare, with only a few kilos available in the world”
