Okonomiyaki: Jeux Jeux

On Wednesday July 10th we’re heading to Jeux Jeux, a Japanese restaurant specializing in Okonomiyaki! Fellow member Manami is from Tokyo and shares more here: “Okonomiyaki (お好み焼き) is a savory Japanese cabbage pancake. The base consists of batter and cabbage, which is then mixed with additional fillings/toppings of choice - which is why this dish in Japanese translates to “grilled as you like it” (Okonomi (as you like it) Yaki (grill)). There are various styles of okonomiyaki across Japan. Jeux Jeux specializes in Hiroshima style okonomiyaki - a layered savoury pancake in which each ingredients are layered on top of each other in a specific order. Noodles (yakisoba) can also be added as an additional layer as well.” We’ll be sharing different styles of Okonomiyaki along with Yakisoba Noodles, and Tepan Yaki- Meshi! Approximate cost is ~£20-30/person (Drinks ordered separately, food will be split evenly at the end). All friends are welcome to join, please sign up individually using this link.
