As You Are is 0.2 miles (roughly 4 min walk) from the Eastern Market Metro station. Some street parking is available right outside & near by the venue.

Get ready to sing your heart out in a special twist on traditional karaoke! Just pick a song from our own collection of timeless jazz standards. Instead of a recorded background track, you will be accompanied LIVE by DCDD’s jazz combo, “2nd Independence.”
Whether you’re here to preform, gather with community, make new friends, or just enjoy the show, it’s sure to be a time to remember!
Ready for your jazz karaoke debut? Reserve your spot for just $10 a song at the sign up link above. Lyric sheets will be provided but we highly recommend choosing a song you are at least somewhat familiar with. You can also sign up throughout the event for any remaining spots.

📨RSVP: RSVP is not required but we would greatly appreciate if you did, just to help us estimate attendance numbers!
♿Accessibility: The first floor of the venue is accessible by ramp and has 2 accessible all-gender restrooms. The main event will be on the 2nd floor, which at this time is only accessible by a staircase with handrails on both sides. 👜Bags: The venue checks all bags at the door during peak hours. Self defense objects, weapons, drugs, and outside food/drink are prohibited.
🎤Vocalists: No prior experience is required to sing with us at this karaoke event, and singers of all skills levels are welcome! We only recommend that you choose a song you are somewhat familiar with to perform.
💿Requests: Because all of our musicians must learn every song to be able to accompany you, we will not be able to accept any special requests at this time. We are working hard to learn as many well-known jazz standards as we can before the event, and you can choose from the list of available songs provided!
