Wednesdays has EXCLUSIVELY hired out chef Andrew Corbin, aka Drunken Prawn for our very own private supper club on March 23rd.
Expect an evening packed with Peranakan flavors from Andrew's heritage, all in one of Hackney's most historic community centers.
"Peranakan" or "Nyonya' cuisine is a mix of Malaysian and Chinese cuisines dating back to the early Chinese migrants who settled in Malaysia.

SAMPLE MENU- 7 Courses
-Sambal Ikan Bilis (Crunchy dried Anchovy and peanuts in sweet sambal)
- Popiah (Fresh spring roll in egg wrapper)
- Shrimp paste marinated chicken wings with a pickled sambal dip
- Poached chicken served with heavily seasoned chicken fat rice
- Chicken broth that is made sour using mustard greens
- Soy eggs
- Gai lan (Chinese broccoli) in oyster sauce
- Palm Sugar Tart

ABOUT DRUNKEN PRAWN:
Born in Singapore to a Peranakan mother and British father, Andrew is a self taught chef, launching Drunken Prawn, his supper club concept, in 2022. Since then, he's been on a roll, doing collabs with Abby Lee from Mambow and more recently exploding on the scene last year at Meatopia.

THINGS TO KNOW:
- Seating will be in communal tables of 6 PAX. All food will be shared family style
- Unfortunately it is not possible to change the menu or cater specifically for any allergies or dietary requirements
- This event is BYOB
- Tickets are refundable if cancellation notice is given more than 4 days before the event. After that tickets are non-refundable.
