Wild Life Music Collective Presents MALADAPTED

A program about evolution and maladaptation created by three distinguished artists and sound designers John Roach, Thessia Machado and Ranjit Bhatnagar and performers Concetta Abbate and Jesse Greenberg from the WILD LIFE MUSIC COLLECTIVE. What does it mean to not fit in? To be especially good at something that is not immediately useful? “Maladapted” is a fully immersive sound and light performance which considers how the natural environment shifts in symbiosis with organisms throughout time. We consider various manifestations of intelligence and advantage from the perspective of plants, rocks, insects and mammals, seeking to decentralize anthropocentric hierarchies of value.
