Join us April 16 from 6–8PM for a talk-through and presentation between Sarah Rothberg and Julia Kaganskiy on the occasion of Rothberg's solo exhibition, FOREVER MEETINGS. Sarah Rothberg creates playful, poetic, usually-a-bit-weird experiences that invite you to reconsider your relationship to the world around you. These take many forms ranging from interactive installation, to performance, video, writing, workshops, and experiments with technology. The artist’s experiences exist in a variety of contexts: at galleries, museums, festivals, on google docs, at the consumer electronics expo, screens in the NYC Subway system, zoom calls, secret twitter accounts, or MoMA. Some hosts have included: bitforms gallery, rhizome, NRW-forum, MTA Arts, Sotheby’s S2, CultureHub, Gray Area Foundation, Apple stores around the world. The artist is a 2023 Jerome Hill Artist Fellow. Julia Kaganskiy is an independent curator and cultural strategist working at the forefront of art and technology since 2008. Her forthcoming show, Infinite Images: The Art of Algorithms, a survey of contemporary generative art, will open at the Toledo Museum of Art in Ohio this July. Julia was the founding director of NEW INC, the first museum-led incubator for art, design and technology at the New Museum. She has conceived and organized exhibitions for HEK (Basel), LAS Art Foundation (Berlin), Matadero Madrid (Madrid), 180 the Strand (London), Borusan Contemporary (Istanbul), Science Gallery (Dublin), Eyebeam (New York City) and many others.
