About The Young Birds:
The Young Birds hatched in the winter of 2014, when the lead singers of two DC-based bands, MJ McLaughlin (Hello Dharma) and Andy Valenti (Oh He Dead), migrated into the same flock. Finding themselves perched on the same branch of musical taste, the pair quickly began to feather their nest of harmony-laden indie rock.
After a 5-year hiatus, the birds are spreading their wings again with their sophomore EP "No One Likes a Quitter" and a new line-up featuring Keith Butler on drums, Colin Sidley on bass, and Zack Be on keys.
About Ernie's Place:
Ernie’s Place is a community art/music venue in E Capitol Hill located next to Ivakota Recording Studio in the alleyway on Kings Street SE.
