:)🎥”La Manplesa" (lamanplesafilm.com) dives into the history of the 1991 uprisings in Mt. Pleasant, weaving together the collective memory of the neighborhood.
🍿Join us for a public screening of the documentary to learn about the history of our neighborhood, on the very block where events in the film took place!
🎶To accompany the screening, we will have poetry and music from artists featured in the film including Quique Aviles, Pepe Gonzales, Lilo Gonzales, and Sami Miranda.
🎉Bring snacks, a chair/blanket, and a neighbor!
