This isn't your grandma's Thanksgiving - while we won't be sharing turkey, mashed potatoes or smallpox, what we will have is a melting pot of flavors of our favorite version of America. The one with a whole lot of different flavors.
The Children of Diaspora presents "Thanksgiving", our way, maybe your way too...where we bring together folks who appreciate the beauty of experiencing culture through food, and through good conversation.
We'll be catering some of our favorite bites from several different immigrant-owned restaurants around the city...be ready for some African, Asian, Latin American flavors and more!
To attend this event please RSVP here (hit “going”) and Venmo $50 to @andrew-pang (if you don't Venmo we won't be able to reserve a spot for you!)

Unfortunately, as a new communal dinner, we're not able to accommodate food restrictions and this dinner will include meat, seafood, gluten, however you'll be able to pick and choose from a variety of dishes.

Andrew Pang (a child of Chinese immigrants and Bay Area-native) and co-founder, Dennis “Conrad” Johnson (a child of Sierra-Leonian immigrants, and long-time resident of SF) have formed a collective called "The Children of Diaspora". Their mission is deeply rooted in bridging communities by celebrating, appreciating and creating a deeper understanding of others’ cultures, especially ones that aren’t highlighted in the mainstream. Together, as "The Children of Diaspora", they curate experiences that resonate with both the traditional and the modern.
