It’s time to move it move it 👣 To those who attended my first workshop in all its beautiful chaos, thank you so much. I would be honored to have you back for the sequel. To those attending for the first time, welcome. In these movement workshops, the goals are humble but the possibilities wondrous. The only requirement (and it’s a tough one!) is to stay curious the whole time. My promise: you will notice your body move in ways it never has before. ———————— The theme of this workshop is metaphor. More precisely, - how does metaphor guide movement? - how does movement inform metaphor? - what imagery translates most easily to movement? - what imagery and metaphors emerge most naturally from movement? We’ll be alternating between free space and guided exercises that draw from: - Improv - Meditation - Functional movement techniques - Breath work - Dance, dance, dance Exploration rather than performance strongly encouraged, no background in anything required except being a human bean 🙂 ———————— Location: The SF Commons 540 Laguna St San Francisco, CA 94102 Dress code: Anything comfy you can move in ———————— 👋 7:00-7:15: come in, make a new friend, browse the inspo gallery 👣 7:15-8:45pm: workshop! 🌀 8:45pm onwards: open floor to chat, roll around, be playful ————————
