11AM: Meet at the bleachers (next to Maritime Museum -
37°48'24.4"N 122°25'23.6"W - https://maps.app.goo.gl/tsk5b99YLgUi1rpX6).
11:15AM: We'll split into 3 groups depending on level & turnout. I'll stick with the least experienced group at the start.
Group 1 will swim to the flag & loop back to shore (If it's your first time in the bay, your goal is 5-10 minutes in the water)
Group 2 will do laps along the Buoy line
Group 3 will do a Full lap out to the jacuzzi & back
12noon: Post-swim warmup

About Me:
Hi 👋, I'm Patrick. I used to be a terrible swimmer until a running injury forced me to take up a new aquatic sport. Years of lap swimming in a pool later left me really bored, until one rainy day in 2017 I tried swimming at Aquatic Park. I'm not a competitive swimmer, but now I've been in lakes, rivers and oceans all over the world. I swim for fun.
Disclaimer: There are no lifeguards at Aquatic Park and you swim at your own risk there. I've been swimming at Aquatic Park for a while and will do whatever I can to help, but I have no formal lifeguard training. If you aren't a confident swimmer, stay near/on shore. Swims with me will never go beyond the bordering pier of Aquatic park.
Swimming in cold waters is inherently dangerous. There have been swimmers that have died due to long exposure to cold water and suffered hypothermia. Aquatic park is open to the ocean and some swimmers encounter obstacles or wild marine animals that in some instances have attacked swimmers. Swimmers have been injured by objects in the water, both floating and fixed. On behalf of my heirs, assignee's, personal representative, and next of
kin, I hereby release and hold harmless the organizers and other participants, with respect to all injury, disability, death, or loss, injury or
damage to me or my property, whether arising from the negligence of the organizer or otherwise.
