For this month's hackNight we're teaming up with NYC Mesh. We'll be learning about the work they've been doing to bring affordable, community centered internet access to NYC. NYC Mesh uses wireless routers mounted on rooftops or balconies to connect to other nearby buildings, forming a network. This network connects buildings together, providing members access to the internet without relying on traditional internet service providers to allow faster, more reliable and affordable internet access.
We'll be getting a a technical deep dive into their infrastructure and I'm really excited for it. Learn more at https://www.nycmesh.net
