Join us for our first ever art-tech sprint and mixer, "Visual Art for Social Commentary," where artists, designers, technologists, business-minded folks, entrepreneurs, and creatives unite to craft visual art that serves as both expression and a potent social commentary, igniting tangible change. By merging technology into the artistic process, we aim to revolutionize how art is created and consumed, tackling critical societal issues and fostering positive change through innovation.
Theme:
“Truly Sustainable (Foreva, Foreva eva? Foreva, eva?)”
Our focus is on leveraging existing resources, systems, and apps to develop projects that are everlasting and environmentally harmless. We encourage participants to think outside the box and contribute to sustainable innovation. Your ideas can be within any art medium using technology: computers, cameras, etc.
Who Can Participate?
Creatives! If you are a creative that uses technology in any form to work, you're welcome. This includes:
Designers
UI/UX specialists
Creative Developers
Game Developers
Photographers
Videographers/Filmmakers
Animators
Entrepreneurs, etc.
Process:
Team Formation: Come with your own team (max 4 people per team). If you don’t have a team, we will hook you up with one.
Idea Development: You will have 1 hour to brainstorm and decide on an idea that fits within our theme.
Pitching: Each team will have 8 minutes to pitch their idea.
Participation: We will have 10 teams, everyone else will be part of the audience or get advice from the judges.
Pitch Guidelines:
To effectively pitch to the judges—legal, investor, founder of a creative agency, creative director, designer, and cybersecurity expert—each team should cover these key points:
Introduction of the Idea:
Clearly describe your idea and its unique value.
Market Potential:
Identify the target audience and market size.
Technology and Security:
Highlight technological innovations and security measures, ensuring compliance with standards.
Legal and Compliance:
Discuss intellectual property protection and regulatory adherence.
Business Model:
Explain revenue streams, cost structure, and investment appeal.
Creative Aspects:
Showcase the design elements and user experience.
Implementation Plan:
Provide a development timeline with key milestones.
Impact and Benefits:
Highlight social and economic impact, sustainability, and success metrics.
Key Considerations:
Given the 8-minute pitch constraint, it's crucial to be concise and focused.
Here are tips to fit everything in:
Prioritize Key Points: Focus on the most critical aspects of your project that will resonate with all judges.
Practice: Rehearse your pitch to ensure it fits within the time limit and flows smoothly.
Team Coordination: Assign different sections to team members to cover more ground efficiently.

Between 5 - 10 teams will compete depending on how many people show up
