Psychedelic yoga is a combination of exploring yoga, pranayama (breathwork), and earth-based medicine. This space is intentionally created to discover, interact, and heal through the meditative practices of yoga and earth-based medicine.
The Practice: Parreling the journey of the medicine, students will be guided through a physical practice focused on grounding, balance, and building heat. Practitioners will also engage in slowing down into meditation with more restorative postures. The practice culminates in providing an opportunity for self-reflection and growth. Props will be provided!
The Medicine: Medicinal supplements, which do not need to be consumed during the practice to participate, are an opportunity to add an additional layer of the physical, mental, and emotional practice of yoga. Individual assessments will be conducted to create an experience specific to the desires and boundaries of the practitioner.
Ways to prepare:
-Abstain from eating two hours before practice and alcohol for three days before practice.
-Wear loose clothes and layers. Shorts, loose pants, comfy sweater.
-Spend time writing intentions for the practice.
What to bring:
- Water bottle.
- Hand/face towel.
- Yoga mat (optional: extra mats and props will be provided).
- Journal (optional).
