LA community waterfall hike w/ Troy

Address: 701 Angeles Crest Hwy, Tujunga, CA 91042
• We will meet at the picnic area at 9am and begin hiking at 9:30am sharp! PLEASE BE ON TIME
• Plan on hiking for at least 3 hours
• The hike is not super advanced, but it’s definitely not for beginners.
• Bring plenty of water and snacks if you need.
• Make sure you wear proper footwear.
• There are water falls and plenty of clean water to swim in if you’d like.
• We will be fully in nature with no cell phone service. There will be other hikers on the trail, so it still feels safe.
• Please come with respect for Mother Nature.
***PARKING (VERY IMPORTANT)***
To park at the Switzer Falls trailhead in the Angeles National Forest, you need a Southern California Forest Adventure Pass ( $5) for a day pass, ($30) for an annual pass). You must purchase this pass before arriving, as there is no cell service at the trailhead.
WHERE TO BUY YOUR PASS
Local Retailers: Grab your pass on the way up at the Shell gas station (located right off the 210 Freeway at Angeles Crest Highway in La Cañada Flintridge) or at local sporting goods stores like REI or Big 5.
• Once you arrive, you will see about 15 parking spots at the top. Drive all the way down to the picnic area and you will see about 40 more parking spots. If those fill up, you can park at the top and walk down.
