Join us at the newly reopened Shillelagh Taven for the Box Set Cinema Holiday Party! Doors open at 1:30PM 2PM: A Secret Cult Holiday Film 4PM: Mystery 16mm Christmas Horror Movie, you don't want to miss this! Throughout the day and between the movies, we will hold CHRISTMAS CAROL-OKE, sing karaoke of your favorite horrible holiday tunes! Wear your ugliest holiday sweater to participate in our UGLY HOLIDAY SWEATER CONTEST, judged by experts (aka, bartenders)! And join our SECRET SANTA MEDIA SWAP! Bring a DVD, Blu-ray, or VHS gift wrapped and exchange it for another! We'll have extras if you want to participate but don't have any media available! Admission is free, but we are accepting small donations at the door to continue putting together awesome events like this one! Box Set Cinema is a new pop-up microcinema in Astoria, NY projecting films and throwing parties around the neighborhood. Join us to celebrate the holidays, watch movies, and meet like-minded film buffs!
