The Nose Sees: A Sensory Art & Self-Awareness Workshop Smell. Memory. Emotion. Connection. Welcome to The Nose Sees, a creative sensory lab where we explore the forgotten power of smell—the shortest path to our emotions and memories. In a world where we rely so much on what we see, we often overlook the deep inner universe of our other senses. This group invites you to slow down, tune in, and rediscover yourself and others through scent, memory, and creative expression. 🌿 What We Do: We host intimate, guided sensory experiences designed to awaken your senses and connect you more deeply with your inner world and the people around you. Each event is: A gentle experiment in sensory awareness A space for non-verbal self-discovery A chance to express memories and emotions through scent and spontaneous art-making A playful exploration of how others perceive your presence through object you bring 🎨 No art experience required. No need for self-analysis. Just bring an open heart, a curious nose, and two scented personal items (like old books, fabric, soap, spices, etc.) that hold meaning for you. This will be the third and final session of our summer workshop series. In past workshops, one participant shared that they discovered a new part of themselves, while another said it felt fun and relaxed — “like playing a board game.” Led by a neuroscience and design Ph.D. from Cornell University, each session blends science, creativity, and emotion in a quiet, supportive space. This isn’t therapy, but it may be therapeutic. It’s not an art class, but it will be deeply creative.
