Visual Storytelling with Shoog McDaniel
We’re incredibly honored to announce that Shoog McDaniel will be teaching an in-person visual storytelling workshop at The Nest as an offering during our RISE celebration week 🍊🦦🌸🌊🫧
Join us on June 16, 5-7PM to explore using writing and photography to bring the hidden parts of yourself to light 🌅
This workshop will include an introduction to Shoog's body of work, along with a brief talk about their book, Queers in Nature, and their zine, Bodies like Oceans.
Participants will pair up and create photographs of each other based on the prompt: Pretend you are going to be in a book or zine, how would you like to be portrayed?
Some props will be provided but participants are encouraged to find and bring their own props (such as flowers, palm leaves, wigs, hats, face paint, beards, etc.) ⋆｡°✩
Make sure to bring your phone or a camera to capture your stories ~
