Self Ties for Self Love: Tying as Somatic Ritual for Regulation, Reconnection & Reclamation
What if the act of holding yourself could be both art and medicine?
In this one-of-a-kind therapeutic workshop, we explore the healing art of self-tying, not as restraint, but as ritual containment, emotional regulation, and sacred self-devotion. Through guided somatic practice, trauma-informed theory, and symbolic intention, you will learn to use fabric or rope as a tool for nervous system grounding and inner reconnection.
This is not performance.
This is presence.
This is not bondage.
This is belonging—to yourself.
In this 2-hour workshop you’ll experience:
• A trauma-informed somatic practice rooted in Polyvagal Theory & Attachment Repair
• A safe space for reconnecting with the body through intentional tying techniques
• Exploration of inner parts, emotional containment, and self-compassion
• A guided ritual of self-holding to soothe, empower, and reclaim
*Rope, a take-home reflection sheet, and light refreshments will be provided*
Please feel free to bring a yoga mat
