Join us at 53 Scott in Brooklyn for an intimate screening of 'Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda', the critically acclaimed documentary that captures the life, art, and environmental activism of one of the most influential composers of our time. Filmed over five years, Coda offers a rare and deeply personal portrait of Sakamoto as he confronts illness, reflects on his legacy, and creates some of his most profound work in the face of global uncertainty. From the haunting aftermath of Fukushima to quiet moments in his studio, the film is a meditation on sound, silence, and the interconnectedness of nature and art. This one-night event offers a unique opportunity to experience the film in a space that mirrors the atmosphere of Sakamoto’s work: raw, thoughtful, and deeply human.
