An evening of poetry around lessons learned, live music and dance at the historic Phoenix Hotel. Brought to you by Decentered Arts, Denise Masiel, Aiya Madarang, and friends.
Dress Code: Origins - Pay homage to the place you're from by wearing what feels the most like home. Think traditional outfits, heirlooms, symbolism, mixing cultures, and expressive makeup. This is a space to go all out, but be sure to work with your existing wardrobe, borrow, thrift, and upcycle.
Doors 6:30 - 7:00 - Come hang and get situated with a themed cocktial/mocktial
Show 7:00 - 9:00 - Enjoy a rockstar lineup of poets and surprise guests
9:00 - Mingle and listen to tunes
