*⏖*ᵔᴥᵔ˘◡˘◕‿↼ᵔ▿ᵔᵔ◡ᵔ⚆◟⚆◉‿◉Pass beyond the Event Horizon in this musical space odyssey: a sonic journey with two stages of futuristic house and techno music, featuring a partial build of Event Horizon! This colossal, music-reactive, gyroscopic LED dance floor will be illuminating the darkness at Black Rock City for its first time this year, and you’ll get a sneak peak of our progress on Saturday, with its 20ft tall light wall set up inside The Great Northern!
We're collaborating with Electroluxx, Recess, Comfort & Joy, and BAAAHS to raise funds to finish building this titanic art project. 100% of net proceeds from this event go toward buying hundreds of parts, nearly 4000lb of aluminum and steel, and enough LEDs to stretch from Castro to Van Ness station - everything we need to build this absurdly large gyroscope!
The party will be serving the same sense of cosmic sci-fi beauty evoked by the kinetic sculpture itself. On-theme outfits encouraged, or come as you are and see where the gravitational pull of our cosmological beats take you. We’ve got a stacked lineup of DJs from BAAAHS, Glamcocks, DAD, and Electroluxx to keep us grooving all night.
