The New Works Series is proud to present the staged reading of Decad(h)ence, written by Joshua Rose and directed by Michael James Byrne.
Decad(h)ence follows the story of two men who meet in a WW2 foxhole who continue their romance through the decades.

Joshua Rose, Co-Artisitic Director of Theatre 4the People, has been making professional live theatre for over two decades. With a Masters of Fine Art in Stage Design from Southern Methodist University. Joshua’s Design work for the stage has been seen around the world from the NCPA in Bei Jing China, to the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Ciudad De Mexco, Mexico, to Lincoln Center in New York City. Joshua designs lighting, scenery, and projection for all forms of live performance; Theatre, Opera, Dance, Concerts, etc.
During the pandemic when there was a sudden lack of other people’s stories to tell the stories in his head came knocking and Joshua started writing in December 2020. He has written two full length plays, a ten-minute movement performance piece, two films, a television pilot, and is working on the libretto for an opera.
With T4tP Joshua has designed In Vestments, Kiss it Make it Better, Under The Dragon’s Tail, and Stupid F*cking Bird.
