Join us for a film screening of the documentary, Decade of Fire: Stay – Fight – Build, to help us raise funds for a family currently displaced by the Allerton Bronx fire.
The film highlights the effects of rampant fires in the South Bronx in the 1970's and the blame placed on the Black and Puerto Rican residents most affected by the devastation.
After the screening, we will hear from Vivian Vázquez, the co-producer of the film. Let's discuss how to support our neighbors and oppose the dangerous living conditions perpetuated by neglectful landlords.
MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
If you are not able to use venmo (@pisces-sun) to pay, you can pay cash at the door. While ticket price is $15, please feel empowered to give more if you can. You can put 🎟️ in the payment description!
