SongBuilder's Soirée #6
If you know you know! For new folks: the words will only begin to describe the secret sauce.
We follow a simple equation:
4 songwriters + 40ish member audience choir x 7 person backing band = MAGICAL MUSICAL JOURNEY
Songwriters bring us the tender fruits of their labor: songs! YOU, the amazing audience choir, will learn a bit of the song and sing along, guided by the inimitable spirited Milly. Nate directs the house band — a maximally supportive cohort of improvising instrumentalists — shaping the magic every half step and whole step of the way.
The soiree celebrates music, community, and the spirit of play in a unique and majestic way. Come for the fun, appreciate the artistry, stay for the community. We’ll be so happy to have you,

SONGBUILDER'S SOIREE #6:
Backyard Grill Edition.
With the ratio of sweat to tears too high last Soirée, we're trying something new. Building songs outside? Heck yes - we've been doing this for generations.
The grill will be lit, fire in a pit, string lights & several extension chords, let's bring this magic to the open air --
✨This Soirée at a Glance ✨
3:30-4:30 PM: GRILL N CHILL: Cable will be on the grill, flipping burgers & veg treats. Join us and bring along your favorite sides and/or grill-ables. No alcohol plz.
** Please do you best to arrive by 4, and no later than 4:30!
4:30 SHOWTIME: We'll start with a guided warm up, moving through a meditation to a sound journey into group musical improv play.
5-7:30 PM: SONG BUILDING: 4 Songwriters will have a chance to share fresh work, supported by the band, and grown by the audience.
7:30-8 + CLOSING & CONNECTIONS: Chat by the fire, grab some digits, promo your next gig, say farewell.
