Home-style Birria Supper Club with Karla Zazueta

3/8 spots left. Karla Zazueta is a self-taught chef, Mexican cookery teacher and food writer. Originally from Baja California, Mexico, Karla moved to London in 2003 and has been teaching her Mexican heritage, recipes and techniques through classes and supper clubs. On Friday July 12th, Karla is opening up her home studio in East Finchley in North London for an EXCLUSIVE supper club just for our group! The theme: Birria Tacos. Birria is a stew of meat marinated in an adobo made of vinegar, dried chiles, garlic, and herbs and spices before being cooked in a broth. Karla makes Birria on special occasions, and when she does, she makes A LOT, so get ready for a proper home-cooked feast you simply cannot find in most Mexican restaurants. This will be a set sharing style menu starting with a red prawn aguachile, caldo de queso, and for the main beef birria with pinto beans and corn tortillas. To finish,, a Mexican flan with strawberries. Vegetarian menus are available on request.
