Join us for the DeSci Berlin edition of Foresight Insitute's Existential Hope salon series. We explore existential risk vs existential hope, small kills all risk from tech, differential tech development, top down-vs. bottom-up solutions, resilience, escape, and more. In this case, we will discuss how technological trees can help us build towards desirable outcomes when we accelerate technology that is too ambitious for legacy institutions to take on. After intros and chats, we invite you to find aligned minds to breakout according to topics, that may include: Utopias, Protopias, Solving Coordination Failures; Positive Futures in Security, Computing, AI Progress; Positive Futures in Bio, Nano, Neurotech; Progress in Climate, Energy, Space tech. We'll gather for a report-out, followed by more time for connection.
