The focus of the project is the development of a network of creative practitioners; a support system to accompany each other through the processes and challenges of online curating. The toolkit also aims to provide a useful resource for curators, especially those who are new and emerging, bringing together the tools deemed necessary for the process of curating, and exploring the possibilities and challenges of curating online. The project, taking its name from the term, ‘beta’, which means a trial version of an eventually finished product, embraces the process of online curation, versus the possibilities of its eventual ‘final’ form. The framework of ‘trial version’ suggests the need for updates, adjustments and additions. Perhaps, a final form might never exist as one might expect…
