Join Lauren and I to learn about how to approach spells, what are the basics to know, where to start, how to source supplies, how to make it your own and finally feel more confident to express your inner witch.
We will provide all guidance and supplies to create:

Co-creating with Bay Area published author & witch Lauren Parker has been a project and dream in the making for several years. My first encounter with Lauren was laughing my *bip* off when she was on stage reading one of her stories for the SF Litquake festival. Among many authors, she stood out to me. Her wit, her immense talent for writing and that captivating spark! I took a mental note to keep an eye on this fabulous person.
A few years fast forward, Lauren has been published by prestigious Simon & Schuster for her new Spells for Success deck, she has expanded her outreach as a witch and participates in community events like mine, but also organizes her own, and she continues to bring her creative magick to the world with various literature & spiritual oriented projects.
Working with her on this fun and creative event in a beloved local establishment (Julie’s!) is a bit of a political stance for me. If we believe we are a drop in the ocean, I also believe that all our drops create a massive wave of change and resistance. In a society where productivity and money are presented as the ultimate achievement, where the cost of living is so high that we don’t have the luxury to be intellectual, to process, to create - I am proud to create space & time for voices like Lauren’s and to introduce her to Witchwell’s community.
