Rain or shine! We moved it inside our post and beam classroom so you can leave your chairs at home as we'll have plenty but feel free to bring blankets and pillows if you'd like! You're invited!! Sunday, October 12th we'll be hosting a couple of touring musicians for a very special concert. The music will be provided by two singer-songwriters - Michael Martinez & Max Embers (whose joint credits include collaborations with Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Naika, John Oates of Hall & Oates, to name a few). The Bay Area based musicians met a decade ago, not too far away, at Berklee College of Music. After pursuing solo careers they joined forces to start a new folk-pop duo- Lonely Parrots 🦜 They are playing on a donation basis and there is minimal service on the farm so please bring cash or donate at one of the links above. You can also check out their music through any of the links above ⬆️
Michael & Max are also the co-founders of an initiative called MORF, Music on Regenerative Farms, which aims to bring live, intimate music concerts to sustainable projects of all shapes and sizes, with a primary focus on permaculture. They believe in the healing power of music and care deeply about the well being of our beautiful planet, and are so excited to celebrate the intersection of these two passions with this new endeavor and are *especially* excited to be sharing their music and mission for MORF with our community at Round the Bend Farm!
Round the Bend Farm is a center for Restorative Community is a working farm and educational non-profit. They are a living laboratory that cultivates, educates, and empowers people of all ages. They are devoted to the global paradigm shift toward hope and abundance by valuing diversity, modeling nature, and redefining wealth.
The Lonely Parrots are performing completely for free but we do encourage a sliding scale $5-20 donation per person (or more if you feel moved to do so!) Please put "Round the Bend x Lonely Parrots" when donating via the link above!
