Let’s make the most of the daylight on the shortest day of 2024! A Fremont Solstice Ride of the more bundled up variety, celebrating a time of new beginnings and brighter days ahead :)
We’ll meet at Cycle & Coffee for hot morning bevs and breakfast at 9:30, then head out at 10am for the ride, a 17 mile loop around the city with a couple rest & refuel stops along the way. This is a chill, no-drop bike ride, welcome to all levels. Bring friends and family along!
Please ride a functional bike, wear a helmet, and arrive early if you need to air up your tires. Dress for possible weather - layers, gloves, and rain gear are recommended!
Our planned stops are Uwajimaya at mile 5, and the Graham Visitor Center at mile 12 in the Arboretum. Near the end of the ride, we'll get to cross the new pedestrian/bike bridge over SR 520 in Montlake before cruising back to Cycle & Coffee along the Burke Gilman trail.
Feel free to peel off whenever you need to, but please say goodbye!
