WFHishNYC hosted an awesome media happy hour in June.
Guess what? We’re doing it again.
On Tuesday, September 9th, with our friends at Coffee Communications, we’re inviting journalists, PR pros, marketing folks, and influencers to come together for a happy hour at the Seven24 Collective inside the swanky Gansevoort Hotel.
The goal is to get out of our niches and silos and connect with other people who share a love for storytelling. Too often, we get hyper-fixated on our own disciplines — political reporters go down the rabbit hole with other political reporters, tech PR folks only connect with other tech PR folks, and influencers only gab with each other.
Our goal is to bring people together in a way that’s different from other events in NYC. Too many are transactional in nature — what can I get from you?
They feel forced. We’re doing something different. This is a chance to connect with other people who make for a living. It’s as simple as that. No expectations. Find a collaborator for a new project? Awesome! Talk shop with a stranger who works in media for a few? That’s cool too. Make a new friend? Even better!
Our last event brought in a swath of people, 60+ people including big-name influencers, PR executives, and network news anchors came through. We were graced with people from ABC News, NowThis, AJ+ Axios, Newsnation, NPR, BuzzFeed, Pinterest, PopSugar, Meta, Edelman, and more.
This happy hour will start at 5 PM and run until around 7:30. We would love to see you.

If you work remotely, you’re also more than welcome to join us for a remote workday in Seven24’s space starting at 9 AM. Because space is limited, please reach out to us directly if you’d like to join.
RSVP required (with email) due to limited space and venue policies. Media industry only—journalism, PR, marketing, influencers. Plus-ones welcome if they also work in media. They will also need to answer the questions on the Partiful. If plans change, please update us so we can offer your spot to someone else.
