Film Screening Wonzimer Doors: 7PM Screening Starts: 7:30PM Film End: 9PM "Rivers and Tides", a documentary by Thomas Riedelsheijmer, follows the artist Andy Goldsworthy as he builds nests, arranges rocks and spins willows in a decades-long art practice. Released in 2001, it offers us the pleasure of spending time with Mr. Goldsworthy and his creative process. The film is quiet and inspiring. As curator of "Echoes of Voynich" I think Goldsworthy's ventures into nature, creating patterns and codes with found materials, meshes perfectly with the theme of the exhibit and the artwork installed in the Wönzimer space. We watch as he smashes stones to release their cyan content and uses that bright-red dye to make spectacular patterns in the currents and whirlpools of streams. We see a long rope of linked leaves, bright green, uncoil as it floats downstream. Before, we saw only the surface of the water, but now the movement of the leaves reveals its current and structure.
