ᵔᴥᵔThe legendary open mic + mentorship program started by MURS comes to Chicago for the first time in October 2025! Rappers who sign up are picked out of a hat to come on stage and rap for up to 5 minutes - anyone who performs can sign up for a 30 minute one-on-one mentorship session with MURS the next day. Sign ups begin at 5pm, and the event starts at 6pm. This month, our featured artists will be Gifted Gab and Oblè Reed from Seattle! All Groundwaves events are free and open to the public - food will be provided! RSVP is only for entry, and does not sign you up for the open mic. This event is supported by Good Chaos.
