About Elif Bet… 🪞
Every month, we're gathering the Elif community in a cozy space in NYC to hear a new play. We’re so excited to bring you a one-act by the wonderful Abigail Duclos — join us for a reading of “Honeysuckle”! Come along for friends, snacks, dancing, and, of course, the story!
About the playwright… 🪞

About the play... 🪞
CONTENT WARNINGS: Discussions and portrayals of death, graphic violence, intimate partner violence, blood, and vomiting; mentions of suicide; mentions of starvation and harmful statements about anorexia.
HONEYSUCKLE is a biting, unflinchingly queer play/song/dance about surviving intimate partner violence and the end of the world. It also asks the age-old question: what would you do if you were stuck in a 10 ft. x 10 ft. bunker with your ex-best-friend (who you also were kind of in love with and who was maybe your gay sexual awakening but who you really hate now)?
It’s about how worlds end and begin again. It’s about a pandemic—but not this one. It’s about this world and the next. HONEYSUCKLE’s claustrophobic, terrifying, sexy—and, occasionally, shockingly funny.
