Austin filmmakers, aspiring composers, musicians and ad creatives! Join us at The Pershing on September 20, 2025, for Scenes & Scores—an intimate workshop and panel exploring the craft of music for screen.

The event begins with composer Michael Grubbs as he deconstructs a scene from Everyone Is Doing Great by removing the score and then performing it live, offering a behind-the-scenes look at his workflow and how he built character leitmotifs for the series.

Following the workshop, a panel of local music supervisors and sync professionals—including Joanna Starling (BMG), Anna Garcia Lascurain (Squeak E. Clean), and Nathalie Phan-Clifford (SoundSync Music)—will share insights into scoring, licensing, and the intersection of music and storytelling.
