Please join us for drinks and snacks while we celebrate the 23 artists featured in this collaborative show.
A woodworker uses a dovetail to interlock two separate pieces of wood into a joint. This technique helps woodworkers create dimensional shapes with virtually inseparable bonds. I have named this exhibit Dovetail to highlight the strength, beauty, and complexity of community art practices.
Participants of Dovetail will design a piece of art based on any tattoo I have designed. For each participant, I will draw a tattoo based on the artist’s previous creations. The exhibit will display both reimaginations of my tattoos as art, and reimaginations of art as tattoos.
