Every month, we're gathering the Elif community in a cozy space in NYC to hear a new play. Our January reading is "I HEAR YOU (a black box balm)," written by the extraordinary designer-playwright-actor Maya T. Weed. Come along for friends, snacks, dancing, and, of course, the story!

Oh, to come of age in a black box. Seven students grasp feverishly at their budding senses of self through performance art, oppressive metaphor, and antagonizing authority. Though it may be hard for them to see just yet, there’s more to the world than what this sweaty room has to offer.
