Hi! Please come join us in the Lortel's beautiful space down in the west village to celebrate what we've been working towards for the last few years -- the launching of Spectra.Theater (!!): an online space for theater makers, or, what we call a digital theater playground.
While Spectra is online, we, as humans and theater makers, are not! So think of this as just a fun get together with your favorite kind of people.
It's going to be a casual (and free!) few hours celebrating and loving on all things theater. We'll provide snacks, some fun artsy-craftys, opportunities to win a drink or two....and you bring you.
**there is a bar and you can purchase drinks at your leisure**
visit www.spectra.theater to learn more about what you'll be seeing starting on Monday the 27th and
follow us on Insta, Tiktok and LinkedIn.
Maybe you're asking - What is Spectra?? Who are these faces in the description photo that I don't know? What is a "digital theater playground"??
(let's start with the last question first)
A digital theater playground is an online community for theater. It houses information from all levels of production and offers tools to bring the theater community into the digital age. Theater today lacks a single trusted digital location where artists and audiences can engage in their mutual love of making theater together, and that's where Spectra.Theater comes in.
And Spectra and that pic is us, the Saunders. We are a family who is wildly passionate about theater making and the need for theater to be everywhere and curious about the ways technology can help make more of it. Come talk to us on the 27th. We're excited to celebrate with you.
