Emerging, Charleston-Based Artist: Jeremy Croft will bring his latest body of work to the Atlanta market for the first time. The show ‘Fractions’ will open on September 27th 2024 from 6-8pm at Impossible Currency, a studio and gallery space in Buckhead run by visual artists: Sheyda Mehrara and Kristen Giorgi.
Jeremy Croft is a self-taught oil painter who lives and works in Charleston, South Carolina. He first began publicly showing his work in 2021 and most recently had a solo exhibition at contemporary art hot spot ‘Hed-Hi Studios’ in 2023 titled ‘Lazy Boy’. His distinctly moody vignettes have made their way into private collections in South Carolina, California, New York City, Austin and more.
'Fractions' is a collection of mythologized personal encounters and their supposed interpretations; attempting to provide a calculable emotional frequency at a given point of extraction.
The short-film 'Beautician' illustrates an artists' departure from the external world and entry into the psyche through the course of beginning and finishing a piece of work
