Join the BGIAS New York Chapter for a Harlem photo walk inspired by Lorraine O’Grady’s “Art Is…” performance, followed by a discussion and brunch Saturday, May 25 at 9AM. 

Your hosts Alexandra (girl.named.alex) and Kimberly J (@mskimothy) along with two NYC-based photographers, Elisa (@lisageenyc) and J (@j.sloanshoots), will take us on a tour of Harlem’s notable murals while sharing the history of O’Grady’s performance and photography tips while we take photos of each other behind gold frames reminiscent of O’Grady’s work. Photographers and models/muses of all levels are welcome.
