Taco Fiesta: Homies on Donkeys

RSVP DEADLINE IS SUNDAY APRIL 7TH. Please join the waitlist if you're still interested in coming! Mexican co-owners and operators Sandra and Chef Smokey met in Tijuana, Mexico over 15 years ago. Starting out in 2017 as an independent 8 seater counter pop up in Walthamstow, Homies on Donkeys has quickly soared in popularity. Following a succesful kickstarer campaign in 2023, the team recently opened a larger restaurant in Leytonstone and on Wednesday April 10th we’ll be heading over to Homies on Donkeys for a taco fiesta with a Tijuanan twist! Expect a mix of Mexican classic tacos including slow braised beef birria, chicken barbacoa and pork carnitas alongside some surprises from Chef Smokey’s weekly changing specials (past specials have included pozole, enhiladas de mole de huitlacoche, bone marrow and braised chuck).
