Writers’/Creators’ Hike @ Wild Basin

👋 I’m David Kadavy and I’m a writer. I’m coming to Austin just to hang out with you a few days, so let’s kick it off with a hike!
Our destination is Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve, where we will see flora, fauna, and a waterfall, and chat about writing online and publishing books.
⛰️We will hike the Laurel, Yaupon, Possum and Arroyo Vista Loop, which is a 1.8 mile loop with 288 ft in elevation gain. (Hiking more optional.)

Wild Basin requires reservations, so there are two options:
1️⃣ USE MY RESERVATION/CARPOOL
Meet us at Pershing East at 10:30 a.m. to carpool (Please chip in $3 to cover reservation. Possible additional transport costs if we fill our car with five and more cars aren’t volunteered.)
2️⃣ MAKE YOUR OWN RESERVATION/DRIVE YOURSELF

THEY'RE VERY STRICT ON PARKING RESERVATIONS SO DON'T SKIP THIS!
⏰ Itinerary:
- 10:00 a.m. grab coffee, hang out
- 10:30 a.m. (sharp!) travel to Wild Basin
- 11 a.m. begin hike
- ~1 p.m. travel back to Pershing East for ~1:30 p.m. arrival (or stop for BBQ along the way)
🥾 Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for hiking, and sunscreen.
