Our mission is to host a cultural holiday market that celebrates the diverse voices and businesses not only in Columbia Heights but throughout the DMV community. We aim to support small, local businesses during the holiday season and recognize the community and cultural hub that has allowed Thip Khao to establish strong roots as an integral part of the local fabric. This event is FREE to attend and open to the public. Thip Khao's 10 Year Anniversary Party: In the evening, the celebration continues with a ticketed party at Thip Khao from 5:30 PM - 10:00 PM. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet of fan-favorite dishes, live music, performances, and karaoke. The restaurant celebrates the exciting flavors and Chef Seng, who learned how to cook from neighbors and elders at a refugee camp in Thailand after her family fled Laos, continues to mentor rising chefs in D.C. through the Lao Food Movement which she also founded at Thip Khao and is now led by Aleena Inthaly. An Made: An Made is a project by An-Phuong Ly, a natural dyer and textile artist based in Washington, DC. An Made has connected and cultivated a community around the curiosity of natural dyes and textiles through classes, workshops, and community events. She is also a co-founder of the MaMe Market at Thip Khao, a collective of AAPI Moms and small business owners seeking to uplift and empower Mom entrepreneurs and makers in the DMV!
